John Howlett Bio PicPrior to retiring in August 2008, John had been Vice Chairman of Corporate Development at Emtec, Inc.  Prior to August 2005 he had been Chairman and CEO since 1997.  During that time he grew the business to over $112 million in revenue (from $52 million) and earnings per share to $0.35 (from $0.02).  He acquired and successfully integrated three companies in one-year timeframe.

In 2005 he negotiated an acquisition by an external investor through partial sale of the company achieving $5.5 million in shareholder liquidity.  In 1983 John founded systems integrator Comprehensive Business Solutions, Inc. (CBSI) which merged with Emtec in October 1996.  During his tenure as President and CEO of  CBSI and Emtec, he developed successful IT service and consulting businesses that included installation and support for accounting systems from companies such as Real World, Platinum, Peach Tree, Solomon and others.

Prior to founding CBSI, John was with the AT&T Long Lines Division for twelve years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

A Vietnam veteran, John served in the U.S. Army for four years, attaining the rank of Captain.  He is currently active in the American Legion and other veterans’ organizations as well as providing entrepreneurial mentoring for business owners through the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  John lives with his wife in Chatham, NJ.

Gregory Chandler Bio Pic Since May 2009, Mr. Chandler has been Emtec's CFO and President of Emtec's Global Services division. Mr. Chandler brings extensive experience to Emtec, having previously served as the Managing Director and Group Head of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC’s Business Services Investment Banking Practice. Prior to that, Mr. Chandler was a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers advising companies in restructuring their back office financial operations.

Mr. Chandler received his MBA from Harvard Business School, a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and is also a Certified Public Accountant. In addition, he has been a part of Emtec’s Board serving as Chairman of the Audit Committee since the company merged with Westwood Computer Corporation in 2005. While he will no longer retain his position as Chairman of the Audit Committee, Mr. Chandler will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.

JP Howlett Bio PicJP Howlett has a background that includes management, hands-on technology, and business development experience.

Prior to Homeshore America, he worked for Acorn Group, where he spearheaded a new initiative to repurpose part of an existing call center to handling inbound calls, instead of outbound telemarketing.  Before that he did business development, obtaining technology clients for high-end telemarketing projects.

JP has also run his own IT consulting business, providing niche development services to clients with diverse and sometimes challenging needs.  His experience also includes business development in outsourced collections.

During his five years at Merrill Lynch, JP executed numerous projects to consolidate tech support groups and streamline processes.  He started at Merrill supporting demanding institutional traders where he quickly gained a reputation for excellence.  JP's initial exposure to the IT industry was 5 years at Emtec-NJ where he served in a number of positions, including Systems Engineer and Operations Manager.
